Patient safety is a health service system that aims to prevent injuries and manage risks that can harm patients. Patient safety incidents have adverse impacts, including physical injuries. This study aims to describe patient safety incidents in the inpatient ward of RS X Depok. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The sample of the study was 61 nurses selected using a total sampling technique. The results showed that stress factors were related to adverse events (p = 0.046), while fatigue factors were related to sentinel events (p = 0.004). However, communication and manager leadership factors were not related to patient safety incidents. The conclusion of this study confirms that stress and fatigue are factors that contribute to patient safety incidents, while communication and manager leadership do not have a significant relationship. These results highlight the importance of managing stress and fatigue of health workers in improving patient safety in hospitals.
Merice Diana Novita KanaOci Etri NursantyRisky Kusuma Hartono

Dementia is a cognitive disorder that affects communication functions and the quality of life of older adults. One non-pharmacological approach that can be applied is drawing therapy. This therapy aims to stimulate cognitive function and improve communication skills in older adults with dementia. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of drawing therapy in enhancing cognitive function and communication among elderly individuals with dementia. The method used is a literature review by analyzing previous research on the impact of drawing therapy on older adults with dementia. The results indicate that drawing therapy can help improve memory, attention, and verbal abilities in elderly individuals with dementia. Additionally, this therapy can reduce stress levels and enhance emotional well-being.
Early childhood development is crucial to prevent developmental delays in preschool-aged children. Therefore, early detection is essential to identify any developmental disorders as early as possible. This can be achieved using screening instruments such as the Denver Developmental Screening Test (DDST) and the Pre-Screening Developmental Questionnaire (KPSP). This study aims to describe the developmental assessment results of preschool children residing in Japan using both DDST and KPSP methods. This research is an observational study with a cross-sectional approach and employs a descriptive survey design. The study was conducted from May to June 2024, involving 25 preschool-aged children selected using a total sampling technique. The independent variables in this study are the screening methods (KPSP and DDST), while the dependent variable is the developmental status of the children. Data were collected through measurements of body weight, height, and head circumference, as well as the completion of the KPSP form and DDST chart. Univariate analysis was performed to describe each variable using frequency distribution in percentage form. The results showed that most respondents were 66 months old (56%), with the lowest frequency being 72 months old (8%). Most children were categorized as "appropriate" in the KPSP and "normal" in the DDST assessments. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for future research, particularly those comparing early childhood developmental screening methods.
Puspa RaniEka RokhmiatiIrma Herliana

One way to reduce the incidence of hot flushes is to provide soy milk and aerobic exercise. To determine the effectiveness of soy milk consumption and aerobic exercise to overcome hot flushes in perimenopausal women. This type of research is a qualitative research with a study case literature approach. The sample used in this study was 6 people who experienced hot flushes. To measure hot flushes in perimenopausal women using the HFRS (Hot flushes Range Scale) questionnaire. The research location was at the Pasir Putih Depok Health Center UPTD, conducted for 2 weeks. In the Aerobic exercise group before the intervention, the degree of hot flushes was 9 with a moderate category, after the intervention decreased to a score of 1, meaning no hot flushes occurred. While in soy milk before the intervention, the degree of hot flushes was 9 with a moderate category, after the intervention decreased to a score of 2, meaning mild hot flushes occurred.Aerobic exercise is more effective in reducing hot flushes complaints in perimenopausal women than soy milk. It is expected to be used as an intervention to reduce the incidence of hot flushes in perimenopausal women.
Titah Khisni HayatiSalfia DarmiLina Nurul IzzaTri Widiyanti, EllianaYuni AntikaTanti MaryaniRia Magdalena DamanikSri Mutmainah
